Enes Karakaya is an architect and research assistant in the Faculty of Architecture, Department of Landscape Architecture at İstanbul Technical University. His research lies at the intersection of computational design, shape computation, and cultural heritage studies, with a particular focus on the geometry-construction relation, traditional stone-cutting techniques, and computational design logic of medieval Anatolian and Armenian architecture. Enes Karakaya graduated from İstanbul Technical University with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and is conducting his master's study in the Architectural Design Computing Graduate Programme at the same institution, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mine Özkar. His master's thesis centers on the structural morphology and computation of historical construction techniques in Medieval Anatolia, exploring the geometric and algorithmic principles behind complex vaulting systems like muqarnas.
