Dr. Ebru ERBAŞ GÜRLER is Landscape Architect (M.Sc., PhD) and currently working as an Associate Professor at Istanbul Technical University at Landscape Architecture Department. She was graduated from Istanbul University Landscape Architecture Department and took the Master and PhD degree from Istanbul Technical University Landscape Architecture Program. She was as a researcher during the spring term of 2007-2008 academic year in Universita degli Studi di Roma ‘La Sapienza’ in Rome-Italy. Her topics of interest include landscape and urban design; history, theory and criticism in landscape architecture; interaction and dialog among design disciplines; sociocultural studies in landscape architecture; and memory and landscape relations and memorialization. In addition to her academic studies and experiences in various organizations and workshops, Ebru Erbaş Gürler, who took part in many urban design and landscape design projects individually or as a team member and leader, also has awards in national and international project competitions. She won the National Landscape Architecture Award three times in 2016, 2017 and 2021 with the Tuzla Kamil Abdüş Lake Landscape Design Project, in which he was part of the design team. She is also coordinator of “Urban Design Master Program” in ITU and one of the founders of landscape blog ManifesOL.
