Undergraduate
The Landscape Architecture undergraduate programme is based on a six-semester curriculum. The first two semesters include introductory courses to the discipline, mainly Basic Education Studio (TES) courses, which are taught together with students
from other departments in the Faculty of Architecture. The second half of the curriculum is designed to be discipline-specific. This approach provides a foundation for interdisciplinary design as well as opportunities for double major programmes
and transfer. Students who complete the first three semesters with a GPA of 3.00 are eligible to start the double major programme. Students may also apply for transfer between ITU Faculty of Architecture major programmes in Landscape Architecture,
Architecture, Interior Architecture and Urban Regional Planning. During the basic semester, students learn basic design, drawing techniques, architectural design and presentation techniques as well as introduction to landscape architecture,
history and theory of landscape architecture, plant material, natural systems and design, computer aided design and information systems, structural landscape and space planning. In the fourth semester, students start to take courses specific
to their branches, which allow them to discuss problems and solutions related to the field of landscape architecture.
