The project area is located in a geographically diverse region that requires a multilayered analysis. This area encompasses regions with varying levels of natural protection status and hosts diverse natural systems, including maquis, red pine forests, dunes, and wetlands. Additionally, it includes a culturally significant, historically established migrant village. The region’s richness is currently overshadowed by several issues, including inappropriate development in protected areas, the proliferation of vacation homes, the negative effects of reverse migration on the local fabric, and the threat of rising sea levels. These issues have resulted in a development pattern that disrupts the area’s dynamics.

F/Slow Belt seeks to harmonize regional flows and create a resilient ecovillage through the ecotons created by the belt strategy developed through a comprehensive analysis of the region’s complex characteristics.
